🐉 Bakonawa Lake Instance
Bakonawa, the moon-eating sea serpent of Port Malaya, hides in the lake below the hideout. With Taho at your side your party ropes down, drives it to the surface with noise, and kills it through all three forms to make it cough up its treasure.

Use Warper → Instances → Bakonawa Lake. You land at the Bakonawa Hideout (ma_scene01 172,175) beside Taho.

🚪 How to Enter
- Form a party and have the party leader talk to Taho.
- Pick Please weave a rope to open the lake.
- Every party member talks to Taho and picks Now I will go down.
🗺️ Walkthrough
- Phase 1 — the surface: "I can see him there on the surface! ATTACK!!!" Bakonawa (first form, 3.35M HP) surfaces for 30 seconds at a time, then dives: "Bakonawa has escaped deep into the lake." Do as much damage as you can each time it shows.
- Phase 2 — the noise: Bakonawa hides under water and tries to swallow the moon. Taho: "We must make loud noises with caldron and gong so he can never concentrate on the moon!" Destroy the 2 caldrons and 2 gongs on the left and right sides of the lake (the drums have 200 HP) while Wakwaks (195k HP) harass you. Do not engage Bakonawa when it surfaces during this phase, just keep breaking drums.
- Phase 3 — the fierce one: "Something is moving up rapidly under the water!" Bakonawa returns fiercer (second form, 3.35M HP) and then in its final form (3.35M HP, counted as the MVP here). Kill it.
- It throws up Bakonawa's Treasure (a 5-HP chest): break it for the loot, then visit Taho at the top of the hill for his thanks.

🎁 Rewards
Bakonawa's Treasure: Ancient Grudge (100% and a second roll at 20%), Bakonawa Doll 20%, Piece of Bakonawa's Spirit 20%, Bakunawa Scale Armor 10% (armor, DEF 10, all stats +1, boss damage −1% per 2 refines), Kalasag 1% (shield, DEF 7, boss damage −1% per 3 refines), Gold 0.01% and the Bakonawa Card 0.01%. Every Bakonawa form can also drop the card at 0.01%.

⚙️ Pre-Renewal notes
- Attacks are min–max ranges (×1.4 spread), Renewal flat defense became percentages (Bakonawa 80%), and EXP follows the Faceworm / Bio Lab 4F scale: the three forms add up to about 10M HP, so the final form pays 20M base / 12M job + 10M MVP — about 0.6 of a Beelzebub for the party.
- The 7-day cooldown is the official timer. The final Bakonawa kill announces and pays the party MVP coin.
- No download is needed: the lake, the monsters and every item are official client content.
